I'm back!

So i have been super busy and quite frankly just didn't feel like writing on here but now i do!

So things have been going really good since we moved her 8 months ago! Axel has a good job (works all the time i hardly see him) we got our own apartment 4 months ago, the kids are in school they go tot different schools at different times so that's a pain in the butt but its for a good purpose. it feels great to be "normal" haven't had that in YEARS!

we have a speed bump since we came here we had the children evaluated through the school board and by a speech and language pathologist and this is what they have to say:
Dominick has receptive-expressive language delay as well as some cognitive delays he is adjusting really well in school and is showing great improvement
Isabela has been put on the autism spectrum. this one was the hardest for me we had always been told that she just had a language delay but it turned out to be deeper than that.
I was an emotional wreck for a solid 2 weeks i just cried all day and I got angry at the world kinda and went and deleted almost everyone on my facebook(maybe i shouldn't have done that but most of them I never talk to anyways.) I was crushed for her it had nothing to do with me. I was terrified that she would never be able to talk or be able to live on her own because unfortunately i can't live forever. but i finally got a hold of myself and since then she has started school. it's for autistic children and she is doing so great she is picking up sign language and is even talking! I still can't have a conversation with her but she has a lot of words now!

I know it's going to be a rough road ahead of me but i choose to live in the moment and enjoy all the little milestones along the way instead of focusing on how delayed they are. even with these delays my children are still well behaved and have manors.
I have come to truly dislike the word "normal" i kept hearing that through out the whole testing process what's normal and what's not....blah blah blah to me this is their normal.

The latest news is that my amazing mother has decided to move out here and help me with the kids!!! because Axel works all the time I'm doing most of this on my own I don't have any kinds of support group out here so she is willing to come help and take care of my kids! we are keeping our fingers crossed that she gets this transfer and if so then she'll be here in about a month!!! I'm so excited! I haven't seen her in 3 years and this opens so many doors for us. my plan is to go back to school and work. Axel works full time and just enrolled in college full time so we could really use the extra hand with the kids because I just don't trust daycares. they are only in school for 3 hours a day and I would have to put them in daycare otherwise and i have to mostly non-verbal kids and I just don't trust people enough.

So, I do plan on blogging a lot more since we have a laptop now and I'm not going to change this blog into a autism or special needs blog like most mothers do. I'm sticking with my title : My life as I know it.
